The end of the adventure

Well, the site is back up, although mostly for nostalgic purposes these days. This band was a lot of fun for me personally, and I miss the weekly drunken and/or chemically induced ramblings we referred to as rehearsals (I'm sure a lot of that second-hand smoke affected me at least somewhat).
To my cohorts in Mean Genie, a salute and toast. We may not have lived up to our grand plans, but I for one enjoyed the experience immensly. To everyone who didn't get to see us: You don't know what you missed out on. To everyone who did see us: You know exactly what maybe you should have missed out on ;)

La Trobe Uni bounced to the beat and blinked in time last Thursday as Mean Genie revealed their brand new moving backdrop. A packed house was treated to a barrage of crowd pleasing tracks and visual antics that ramped the party up to fever pitch by the second set. It was just a taste of the huge stage show planned for 2006.
Mean Genie got the enthusiastic crowd singing, dancing and squeezing themselves on to every available inch of the dance floor. Can anyone give me a 'Woo hoo hoooo!'
